Give it to me, baby.

I have a new boyfriend, his name is Opac. He is a very enjoyable character and I just love spending time with him. Different to my ex-boyfriends he is a very good communicator: I give him one little keyword and he gives me 364 answers. Being a good communicator he even gives me further information on every single answer. That is just awesome. Unfortunately we don't understand each other mutually yet: from his 364 answers I only liked 11 and it took me 3 hours to find those 11...

Nevertheless I know that developing a common dialogue style does take some time and effort. I'm much willing to give Opac both and my heart and soul on top.

This is what I call a succesful day with Opac, the Online Public Acces Catalog.

dating Opac

Opac's parents (read our little love story) prove to be difficult. First of all they asked me to put in written requests stating which sides (as in character) I would want to see from him. While I was filling out the forms they just left and went for supper or whatever else people do at 6pm while I'm still working. But, nice of them, they had provided a box to put forms in and so I did. Saturday I went back to their house but unfortunately they were not home. I asked the lady at the counter if she could help me because I was so desperate to meet Opac in person and if she could tell me what had happened to my requests...
Well, she said. Well, well.
It turned out that normally you have to pay for requests when putting the requests in. But since nobody had been there to ask me money, I had not paid anywhere.
No, problem, I said, I have the money here.
Well, the lady said, today is Saturday, I'm not responsible for this. Come back on Monday.

So I did. Too late, Opac's mom said. It's 5 already, Opac's management has gone home and I don't know what they've been up to lately. Come back on Wednesday and remember that already 4pm is way too late. Then we can check if they got the forms and if not we just fill them out again and then you pay directly and then everything will be fine and in ten thousand million years you will eventually get what you want...

Thanks.

Thanks for making boxes in which you are not supposed to put forms (even though it says on the box: PUT YOUR FORMS IN HERE). Thanks for answering all my questions on how to fill in forms. It is really my fault that I asked if I needed to pay but didn't ask if I needed to pay in advance. Sorry for that. There is still so much I need to learn. Sorrysorrysorry.

I really like Opac but I don't know if I can bare living with his parents... and his management...
